BYD launches 2027 Yuan UP Feichi Edition with 501 km range, starts at 11,150 USD
BYD officially launched the 2027 Yuan UP Feichi Edition in China on 17 September 2026. The refreshed compact electric crossover introduces a new 501 km CLTC-rated variant and interior enhancements. Pricing starts at 74,800 yuan (11,150 USD), reducible to 69,800 yuan through trade-in subsidies. All five trims standardise on a single 70 kW front-mounted permanent-magnet motor.
The Feichi Edition standardises powertrain output across all five trims with a single front-mounted permanent-magnet motor delivering 70 kW (94 hp) and 180 N·m torque, departing from earlier Yuan UP versions that offered 70 kW and 130 kW (174 hp) options.
The vehicle continues on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 with Cell-to-Body battery integration. A new 51.13 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplies up to 501 km CLTC range, equivalent to approximately 370 km under WLTC testing. The 301 km and 401 km variants remain available with 32 kWh and 45.12 kWh packs respectively. DC fast charging restores the battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Interior revisions include a steering-column gear stalk replacing the centre-console toggle, freeing storage beneath the 50W air-cooled wireless phone charger. The DiLink 100 cockpit features a 12.8-inch rotatable centre display, 8.8-inch driver screen, and four-zone voice recognition. Equipped trims incorporate BYD's DiPilot C suite for Highway Navigation on Autopilot and automated parking, with damage coverage included.
Pricing spans from the 301 km Leading variant at 74,800 yuan (11,150 USD) to the 501 km Excellence trim at 104,800 yuan (15,630 USD). Trade-in subsidies reduce the entry price to 69,800 yuan. August 2026 domestic sales reached 22,958 units, representing 13.2% month-on-month growth and 16.9% year-on-year increase.
