BYD introduced the ETT 44 as part of its expanded commercial vehicle portfolio. The 4×2 tractor operates on an 851V architecture and accommodates combinations up to 44 tonnes. It delivers 743 PS rated output with peak power reaching 1,000 PS and includes a 10-year or 1.2-million-kilometre battery warranty.

When connected to standard CCS2 DC chargers, the ETT 44 accepts up to 420 kW, completing a 20-80% charge in roughly one hour. Connected to BYD's Megawatt Charging System, it surpasses 1.5 MW capacity and accomplishes the same charge cycle in approximately 20 minutes, adding 248 kilometres of range.

The broader truck lineup includes rigid 4×2 and 6×2 configurations with 26-tonne swap body and hooklift variants, complemented by the E-Vali light commercial van and EYT 2.0 electric yard tractor. The comprehensive portfolio spans 3.5 to 44 tonnes, addressing most commercial transport requirements across European urban centres and distribution networks. The vehicles feature advanced driver-assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping, and blind-spot detection as standard.
